This morning, on March 8, actor Dolly Sohi passed away at the age of 48 following a struggle with cervical cancer. Tragically, her sister Amandeep Sohi, an actor as well, lost her battle with jaundice just the day before, on March 7. Dolly had been unwell for a month prior to her passing.
Her brother, Mannu Sohi, verified the information with India Today, expressing the family’s profound sorrow at losing the sisters within a short span of hours. He also mentioned that Dolly’s funeral is scheduled for the afternoon.
“Dolly passed away at 4 am this morning. Both Dolly and Amandeep were at Apollo Hospital in New Mumbai. Amandeep passed away yesterday, and now Dolly. We are utterly devastated,” shared Mannu.
Her family released a statement announcing the actor’s passing: “Our dear Dolly departed for her heavenly abode this early morning. We are devastated by the loss. The final rites will take place this afternoon. More information to follow.”
Last year, Dolly posted a photo following a chemotherapy session, expressing gratitude: “THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR LOVE AND PRAYERS.
