Nitish Kumar nda

In Bihar’s politics, it seems that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is feeling uneasy within the Grand Alliance and might be considering leaving the group.

Nitish Kumar May Join to NDA

Bihar is seeing more political trouble. There’s talk that Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister, might join the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) again. He left this group in 2022 to team up with the Opposition and create a new alliance.

Several leaders from the NDA, such as ex-Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, have hinted that the partnership between Nitish Kumar’s party, Janata Dal (United), and Lalu Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in Bihar is falling apart.

Yesterday, a top leader from the Bharatiya Janata Party, Sushil Kumar Modi, stated that they might be open to working together with Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his party, the JDU, once again if necessary, suggesting that their past partnership could be renewed.

Upendra Kushwaha, the leader of the RLJD party, mentioned on Friday that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar seems troubled and upset about being a part of the Grand Alliance. It looks like he might be considering leaving this group.

Chirag Paswan, the head of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), mentioned that there’s noticeable unrest in the state. He indicated that soon it will be clear if Nitish Kumar’s JDU decides to team up again with the BJP and their NDA alliance.

Bihar Political Developments – Here are the top 10 updates on what’s happening in Bihar:

Politics in Bihar are not looking simple right now. Here’s an easy breakdown of what’s happening:

  • Tejashwi Yadav, the Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader, didn’t go to the Republic Day event at the Governor’s house. Nitish Kumar was there, but they didn’t talk to each other during the parade in Patna.
  • The RJD wants Kumar to be clear about whether he’s talking with the BJP to join their group, the NDA.
  • Akhilesh Yadav from the Samajwadi Party thinks Kumar could become the Prime Minister if he sticks with their opposition group.
  • There’s talk about the opposition group breaking up. Nitish Kumar’s JDU party says it’s with the opposition, but they think the Congress Party should think more about their partnership and how to share positions.
  • This past week, Kumar made comments about family-run politics. Then, Lalu Yadav’s daughter Roshni Acharya posted something mysterious online, which some from the BJP said was calling Kumar rude.
  • Kumar has shared that he’s unhappy with his role in the opposition group, especially since they only asked him to be their leader last month and he said no.
  • Kumar says he doesn’t want power for himself, but he hasn’t been happy with how slow things are going in deciding who gets what positions.
  • The RJD and JDU are having their own meetings this weekend to talk about these issues.
  • Kumar first became the head of the Bihar government in 2005 with the BJP’s help. He broke off from them in 2013, lost an election on his own in 2014, and then won in 2015 with the RJD. In 2017, he joined the BJP again. They won together in 2019 and 2020. But last year, he left the BJP and teamed up with the RJD, Congress, and Left to form another government.
  • Right now, the JDU has 45 out of 243 seats in the Bihar assembly, the opposition group has 114, with the RJD has the most seats at 79. The NDA has 82 seats. You need 122 seats to form a government.
