Xiaomi unveiled its plans to introduce its first electric car, the XU7, in China this month. This significant move marks Xiaomi’s entrance into the fiercely competitive automotive sector. The Chinese smartphone leader, ranked fifth in the nation, shared on Weibo that 59 of its stores in 29 cities will soon accept orders for the highly awaited Speed Ultra 7 (SU7) sedan. Anticipation is mounting for the official launch event on March 28, where pricing details for the new electric vehicle will be disclosed.

Xiaomi SU7 Specifications

The SU7 makes its debut with a potent 220kW rear-wheel drive motor, raising the bar with a claimed range that surpasses 1200 kilometers. At its core lies the E-motor HyperEngine V8s, boasting a remarkable top motor speed of 27,200 rpm. This dynamo generates an impressive 425kW output and a peak torque of 635Nm, setting a new global benchmark for E-motors. With these capabilities, the vehicle accelerates from 0-100kmph in a mere 5.3 seconds, ensuring an exhilarating driving experience.

The SU7 showcases state-of-the-art autonomous driving capabilities, integrating innovative features such as Adaptive BEV Technology, the Road-Mapping Foundational Model, and Super-Res Occupancy Network Technology.
