Vaibhav Gupta, the winner of Indian Idol 14, expressed his aspiration to venture into playback singing for acclaimed stars like Salman Khan, Vicky Kaushal, and Ranveer Singh.
Vaibhav Gupta emerged victorious in season 14 of the Indian Idol singing reality show. Hailing from Kanpur, Vaibhav clinched the title, along with a cash prize of ₹25 lakh and a Maruti Suzuki Brezza, on Sunday night, as reported by Indianexpress.com. The show’s other finalists included Anjana Padmanabhan, Ananya Pal, Piyush Panwar, Subhadeep Das, and Adya Mishra.
Vaibhav aspires to make his Bollywood debut now.
According to the report, Vaibhav expressed, “It’s truly amazing to be named the winner of Indian Idol 14. The support and love from everyone means the world to me. This is just the beginning of my dreams turning into reality. Hopefully, I’ll now venture into Bollywood with the blessings of God. The overwhelming love and admiration I received fueled my hopes of winning. In particular, when Mahesh Bhatt applauded for me, that moment became etched in my memory.”

Vaibhav expressed his aspirations, saying, “I aim to venture into playback singing for renowned actors like Salman Khan, Vicky Kaushal, and Ranveer Singh. I am determined to make this dream a reality. My vision is to revive live music, reminiscent of symphonies. The nostalgic essence of the 90s era is resurfacing, with a renewed interest in legends like Kishore Kumar. The current generation is embracing melodious tunes. This era of music is truly remarkable, and I strive to usher in a fresh wave of creativity within it.”

Sony Entertainment Television posted on Instagram, unveiling a video of the moment Vaibhav received the trophy. The caption revealed, “Excited to present the Indian Idol winner @vaibhavgupta_sings, cruising home in style with a new Maruti Suzuki Brezza!” Alongside a photo of Vaibhav holding the trophy, the caption declared, “Vaibhav Gupta, the triumphant young talent from Kanpur, crowned as winner of Indian Idol Season 14!”
The spectacular finale featured Sonu Nigam as the special guest, with Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani, and Kumar Sanu serving as judges in Indian Idol Season 14. Hussain Kuwajerwala hosted this season, which aired in October of the previous year.
During the show, numerous celebrity guests were captivated by his voice. Mahesh Bhatt, singer Sukhwinder Singh, and Hrithik Roshan all lauded him. Another guest, Karisma Kapoor, compared Vaibhav to Shammi Kapoor in a complimentary gesture.
