Lasya Nanditha tragically lost her life in a road accident near Hyderabad today, following a recent major car crash.

Her sudden passing was mourned by prominent political leaders, who remembered Nanditha’s series of accidents and tragic end.Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) lawmaker G Lasya Nanditha was killed in a car accident on Friday in Hyderabad. This was not the first road accident that the Telangana MLA was involved in this month. Just 10 days ago, Nanditha’s car had been in an accident that was fatal enough to claim one life.

On February 13, the BRS MLA survived a car crash in Narkatpally. Nanditha was on her way to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s rally when a drunk driver rammed into her car near Nalgonda. Unfortunately, the Home Guard accompanying her was killed in the accident. Nanditha also sustained minor injuries.

She is said to have purchased a new car following the Nalgonda accident.

Nanditha, a 37-year-old first-time MLA from Secunderabad Cantonment, was killed in a road accident on the Outer Ring Road in Telangana’s Sangareddy district, on the outskirts of Hyderabad. She suffered serious injuries when her vehicle lost control and collided with the road divider.

According to Telangana Police, the car driver lost control and crashed into the metal barrier on the left side of the expressway, resulting in the immediate death of Nanditha. The driver has been admitted to a nearby private hospital and is reported to be in critical condition.

Interestingly, February 13 wasn’t her only brush with death in the past few months. Shortly after Nanditha was elected as an MLA, she was trapped in a lift in Boinpally in December 2023. She was a chief guest at an event and was on her way back from the program when the elevator she boarded crashed six feet due to overloading. Fortunately, she and the others trapped in the elevator were rescued unharmed.

The Sangareddy accident was her third accident in two months.

Lasya Nanditha, a prominent figure in the political landscape, previously served as a corporator from Kavadiguda since 2016. Her father, the late G Sayanna, a former BRS legislator, passed away due to ill health in February of last year.

Senior BRS leader and party working president KT Rama Rao expressed his condolences on the sudden death of Nanditha on X (formerly Twitter). He shared, “This was about a week ago. Just now heard the tragic and shocking news that Lasya is no more!! Woke up to the devastating loss of the young legislator who was a very good leader in the making. My heartfelt prayers for strength to her family and friends in this terrible & difficult time.”

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed his condolences on the death of BRS MLA, Lasya Nandita. He shared that he was deeply shocked by the untimely passing of the legislator, highlighting his close relationship with Nandita’s father, the late Swargiya Sayanna, who also passed away in the same month last year. Expressing sadness over Nandita’s sudden demise in the same month, he extended his deepest condolences to their family and prayed for her soul to rest in peace.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) National President and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed his condolences on the tragic passing of Secunderabad Cantonment MLA Lasya Nanditha in an accident. He mentioned that she had a promising future ahead of her, but fate had other plans. Naidu was shocked to learn about her death, especially coming so soon after her father Sayanna’s passing. He extended his heartfelt condolences to her family members.
