Andhra Pradesh: YSRCP suspends Chittoor MLA for meeting Pawan Kalyan.

Srinivasulu had expressed discontent with the YSRCP leadership following the appointment of Vijayanand Reddy as the Chittoor constituency in-charge.

Andhra Pradesh’s governing Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) has taken action against Chittoor MLA Arani Srinivasulu for his meeting with Jana Sena party leader and actor Pawan Kalyan on Sunday, March 3, resulting in his suspension.

YSRCP’s central office issued a statement announcing the suspension of Srinivasulu from the party following directives from Chief Minister and party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. This decision was made shortly after the MLA’s meeting with Pawan Kalyan in Hyderabad.

Reports suggest that Srinivasulu has been dissatisfied with the YSRCP leadership ever since Vijayanand Reddy was appointed as the Chittoor constituency in charge. He expressed a desire to part ways with the party. The Chittoor MLA is expected to align with Jana Sena soon and stands as a potential candidate for the Tirupati constituency under the Jana Sena banner. In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha and state elections, Jana Sena has formed an alliance with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

It is said that Srinivasulu’s discontent with the YSRCP leadership stems from his belief that he has not been given enough recognition and importance within the party. Sources close to him reveal that he has been feeling sidelined and overlooked in decision-making processes, leading to a growing sense of frustration.

This dissatisfaction further escalated when Vijayanand Reddy was appointed as the Chittoor constituency in-charge despite Srinivasulu’s strong support and contributions towards the party’s growth in that area. This move was seen as a snub towards Srinivasulu, who had been actively working for the party’s success in Chittoor.

In light of these developments, Srinivasulu expressed his desire to part ways with the YSRCP and form his own political party. He believes that he has the support of a significant number of followers in Chittoor, who are also disillusioned with the YSRCP’s leadership.

However, experts believe that Srinivasulu may struggle to make an impact as an independent candidate due to a lack of resources and a strong political structure. The YSRCP has also been quick to dismiss his claims, stating that he is motivated by personal interests rather than genuine grievances.

This rift within the party has caused concern among other members and leaders, as it raises questions about unity and stability within the YSRCP. Some fear that this could lead to further divisions and weaken the party’s hold in Andhra Pradesh.

The TDP has allocated 24 out of 175 Assembly seats and three out of 25 Lok Sabha seats to Jana Sena. Pawan Kalyan unveiled the initial list of five party candidates on February 24. Concurrent elections for the state Assembly and Lok Sabha are scheduled for April and May.
