Hyderabad weather mainly knowns as its scorching summer heat,received a much-needed respite this Sunday with refreshing intermittent rain showers gracing different parts of the metropolis.The weather forecast for the upcoming days indicates a continuation of this pleasant trend,offering a much-awaited break from the relentless sweltering heat.

The India Meteorological Department-Hyderabad (IMD-H) has issued a yellow alert for Hyderabad for the next two days.This alert signifies the possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by thundershowers.Moreover residents can anticipate gusty winds blowing at speeds ranging from 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.These rain showers are expected to grace areas such as Charminar,Khairatabad, Kukatpally,LB Nagar,Secunderabad, and Serilingampally zones,bringing a much-needed respite to the parched earth.

Widespread Alerts Across Telangana

This yellow alert isn’t confined to Hyderabad alone; it extends its reach to other districts within Telangana. These include Rangareddy, Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Medchal Malkajigiri, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthi, Narayanpet, Jogulamba, and Gadwal. In these areas, isolated thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds of 30-40 kilometers per hour are expected to grace the skies on both Monday and Tuesday.

Temperature Records Despite the Rain

Surprisingly even with the arrival of rain, Sunday’s maximum temperatures remained relatively high. In Serilingampally, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) reported a temperature of 42.2 degrees Celsius, while Ramachandrapuram recorded a high of 41.3 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile,in other parts of the state, the mercury soared to 44.9 degrees Celsius in Kaddam Peddur, Nirmal, and Velgatoor, Jagtial.
