Volvo Car India reorganizes its management team.

On Monday, Volvo Car India announced the restructuring of its management team led by Jyoti Malhotra, incorporating both internal role changes and external talent acquisition.

The exercise carried out over the past few months is aimed at securing long-term strategic transformation and direct-to-consumer online sales, Volvo Car India stated. Volvo Car India is a subsidiary of the Swedish luxury carmaker Volvo Cars.

In his new role, Khanna is responsible for leading the transformation of the company’s retailers from a traditional business model to becoming profitable partners in its journey to becoming a fully electric car company. It said that it aims to minimize the carbon footprint through the green-dealer initiative.

As part of the reorganization, Kalpit Shishodia, who has been leading the customer service function since 2017, has been promoted to the role of Director of Commercial Operations. In this new position, he will oversee all revenue-generating functions within sales and service. This is to ensure profitable growth, including sales of new and used cars, parts, accessories, and related value chain, as well as the required tech support for all products, the company said.

Similarly, Prashant Khanna has been promoted to the position of Director of Business Transformation and Retail Development.In his new role, Khanna is responsible for leading the transformation of the company’s retailers from a traditional business model to becoming profitable partners in its journey to becoming a fully-electric car company. It said that it aims to minimize the carbon footprint through the Green-Dealer initiative.

Volvo Car India stated that he leads the implementation of all-digital platforms required to support online-direct-to-consumer sales, as well as the consumer relationship center, which is pivotal in ensuring a positive customer experience.According to the company, Jyotsana Singh Kaushik has recently joined as the Director of Marketing and PR, focusing on driving strategic marketing initiatives. Priyankaril Khatri has been appointed as the head of legal.
