Veteran Tollywood actor Kaikala Satyanarayana passes away – Times of India


Veteran actor Kaikala Satyanarayana, who impressed everyone with his performances in many Tollywood films, is no more. He passed away at the age of 87 in Hyderabad. Kaikala is survived by his wife Nageswaramma, two sons and two daughters.

For a while, Satyanarayana was not keeping well. He was reportedly suffering from age-related issues. The actor was also admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad a few weeks ago. His condition had become quite stable after the timely intervention. He had been discharged from the hospital. However, his health started deteriorating again, and he was in a critical condition. Doctors treated him at home till last night. Satyanarayana breathed his last in the early hours of Friday at his home in Film Nagar, in Hyderabad on December 23. His last rites will be performed tomorrow at Mahaprasthanam in Hyderabad.

Kaikala Satyanarayana

Kaikala Satyanarayana was born on July 25, 1935 in Kauthavaram, Gudlavalleru Mandal, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh. He studied in Vijayawada and Gudivada. In 1959, Kaikala entered the industry with the movie ‘Sipai Kuturu.’ Satyanarayana starred in more than 770 movies in his career spanning over 55 years. He also acted as a dupe for Sr NTR. The ace actor also produced films under his home banner Rama Films. He played a wide variety of roles in films, especially with the role of Yama, he stayed in the hearts of the audience. He is popularly known as ‘Nava Rasa Natanaa Sarvabhouma’.
