Delhi News Today: Vaccine India, Throughout the period the COVID-19 pandemic and it’s waves hit India, there have been many more cases of fraud and scams in different areas.
Be it medicines, test reports, test kits and even essentials means like oxygen cylinders.
Now, since the vaccination for the people has begun in the country, more and more cases of scam in the vaccination have been coming out in light.
Till now, around 14 people have been caught by the police in connection with the scam.
Which has seen around 2,500 people get injected with saline water instead of the COVID-19 vaccine at mostly 12 vaccination centers in Mumbai city and Bengal over the previous two months.
In one such major incident, many people have fallen to a detailed quarry in a wide-ranging scam of selling fake Covid-19 Vaccines at many other places in India.
With doctors and medical officials among those who have got arrested for their participation in the scam, the authorities say.
Among those who got arrested by the police there are medical professionals are also involved, even including Doctor Shivraj Pataria and his wife Neeta Pataria, the owners of the Shivam Hospital in Mumbai.
The hospital, which was claimed to be aiding the scam, has reportedly been sealed as the investigation is underway.
Minimum of 12 fake vaccination drives were conducted in or around Mumbai, said Vishal Thakur.
They were using salt water and giving up the jab, Thakur said. Each and every fake vaccination centre that they conducted, they were doing the same.
How They get Caught: Vaccine India Scam
The case of fake vaccination first came to the attention of police last month after few of the individuals who thought they received the vaccines were suspicious that no one of them received their vaccination certificates from the government’s online portal.

Since then, more than 62 million people around 4.5 percent of the India’s population have been vaccinated completely, as per the data by Johns Hopkins University.
