The incident took place around four years ago where a 32yr old Telangana man identified as Prashant who got caught by Bahalpur police with another person with him for crossing the border without any permit and legal documents.
Hyderabad: A man who went missing from the Madhapur area in the year 2017 was detained in Pakistan after he crossed the border illegally to meet his girlfriend and he finally returned home after 4 years. The police officials of Cyberabad informed on Tuesday that a city based IT professional who was captured by the Pakistan authorities got released and brought back to India.
As per the Media reports a video of Telangana Man Prashant surfaced on social media, where he could be seen telling that he is in Pakistan jail while trying to go to Switzerland to meet up with his girlfriend. Family members have also got a message that he was arrested in Pakistan.

His family members lodged a complaint of missing at Madhapur Police Station. After the complaint the Police made all the efforts to trace the missing person Prashant. His father also approached Sajjanar who also wrote to the State Govt and Ministry of External Affairs seeking his return procedure from Pakistan.
After his sentence of 4years in Pakistan, he was handed over to the Indian Authorities on Monday. On Tuesday we brought him to Hyderabad and we handed over Prashant to his family, Sajjanar said.
But Prashant, on returning home, thanked Telangana Government and Ministry of External Affairs for efforts they put to bring him back home. He told the press that he was treated well in the Lahore prison by Authorities and inmates.
