HYDERABAD: Telangana Govt will be starting 19 diagnostic centers for the state of art and modern diagnostic centers in the selected districts and cities headquarters and hospitals where around 57 types of different diagnostic tests can be done at free of cost. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed the health department officials and heads to start the diagnostics from 7th of June.
These diagnostic centres will come up at in different districts and cities like Mahabubnagar, Nizamabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Jangaon, Mulugu, Mahabubabad, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Jagtial, Siddipet, Nalgonda, Khammam, Sircilla, Vikarabad, Nirmal, Karimnagar, Adilabad, Gadwal and Asifabad districts and in the major government or civil hospitals. Also, the government would extend these Centres to other places in a systematic manner.
The Chief Minister KCR has spoken to medical and health department heads on Saturday and grilled about Covid 19 cases in the Telangana state and other medical facilities in the hospitals of all the districts and cities. He said the decision to put up these all 19 diagnostic centers at the different district headquarters in the state was a milestone one in the history of the medical and health department in the state.
He told that these are very expensive equipment with state-of-the-art and modern technology and science would be installed in the centres. “As till date such costly equipment is available in the private hospitals and in bigger hospitals like Gandhi hospital, Osmania and NIMs.

The Telangana Govt decided to implement this equipment in the government district hospitals in different districts to provide the best of medical care to the people of Telangana that too for free of cost though it is a financial difficulty for the government,” the CM said.
He said the officials informed him that all these testing equipment’s work very fast and smoothly and also they produce around 400 to 800 reports in one hour. This fast diagnosis will surely enable people of Telangana to get medical treatment faster than before. He said that along with this, CT (Computed Tomography) scans also would be provided wherever is required in the hospitals.
“Besides all the general tests, certain special tests, which are very expensive, will also be done at these 19 diagnostic centers for free of cost. Arrangements will be made to send the conclusion of the test reports to the patient’s mobile phones through various sources,’ the CM said.
