Sonu Sood and his team ready to help the needy in case COVID makes a come back, actor says, ‘no call will go unanswered’ – Exclusive – Times of India


COVID is threatening to return in a big way but before the ominous pandemic returns Sonu Sood is gearing up to counter the rogue virus with full preparedness. The actor, who is presently in Ujjain to seek blessings from Mahakal, recently announced on his Twitter handle that he and his services will be available for those in need. ETimes spoke to Sonu and asked him about his on-going plan to help people. He revealed that he recently had a meeting with his volunteers and team members to make sure they’re ready to service the needy in case things get out of hand.

Sonu revealed, “In the last few days we had meetings with our volunteers and everyone working with us in different regions and villages. We asked them to be ready for anything if required. So, we’re ready with any kind of need, be it medicines, oxygen concentrators or anything else that’s required. We have to be on our toes and help as many people as we can. We will make sure that no call goes unanswered. Whoever contacts us, we will try to give them everything that’s possible on our part.”

During the 2020 lockdowns, Sonu Sood had become a beacon of hope for immigrants stuck in Mumbai and other cities in India. Through his efforts lakhs of people stuck in transit, were able to get home safely to their villages. Even in 2021, Sonu and his team continued to help those in need in Mumbai, with the actor often meeting people under his residential building and helping out with both financial as well as medical aid.
