Hyderabad News: After a gathering with chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Progressive Recognized Teachers Union Telangana State (PRTUTS) union members have claimed that the CM KCR said that there’s no need to start in-person classes from July 1st. Instead schools are permitted to start online classes
However, there was no official declaration made from the government or the school education department of the state.
PRTU heads, who have put forward a letter to CM KCR at Pragathi Bhavan on Saturday asking him to solve the teacher’s problems, CM said that however I gave a green signal to start online classes for schools.
CM asked the education minister P. Sabitha Indra Reddy to not to start in-person classes in a hurry as of now. He also said that the minister to continue with the online classes and governed only 50% of teachers to report to the duty, the president of PRTU P Sripal Reddy told TOI.

In a gathering, where Telangana state education minister, MLC K Janardhan Reddy, K Raghotham Reddy, PRTU state president P Sripal Reddy, general secretary B Kamalakar Rao, and others joined the meeting.
Teachers asked the CM to issue instructions to put off temporarily the re-opening of the schools due to the critical Covid situation, continuing with the online teaching and 50% teachers’ attendance.
Their other requests include taking up the decisions on transfers and promotions.
CM administered officials of the departments to prepare a special team based on new districts for the promotions within 10 days and complete the process immediately.
