Delhi News: Among the 78 ministers in the Cabinet who have joined recently as well, 42 pecent of the cabinet have declared criminal records against them with four having cases connection to an attempt to murder, as per the report of the poll rights group of Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR).
Of all the union ministers who were investigated, 33 ministers around 42 percent of them have revealed criminal cases and files against themselves, said the Association for Democratic Reforms report (ADR) referring to their survey primissed statements.
As many as around 15 new cabinet ministers and 28 union ministers of the state were promised on Wednesday, to take the strength and increase of the council of ministers to 78.
But around 24 to 31 percent of the ministers have revealed their serious criminal cases including cases which are in connection to murder, attempt to murder, robbery and many other cases as well.
The IPC Sections on the New Cabinet Ministers
Four ministers have announced cases in relation to an attempt to murder (IPC Section-307). They are John Barla, Pramanik, Pankaj Choudhary and V Muraleedharan.
Nisith Pramanik who is from Cooch Behar constituency who has been assigned as the Minister of State for the Home Affairs has come up with a case related to murder (IPC Section-302) against himself. At the age of 35, he is also the youngest among other ministers in the Cabinet as well.
Out of the ministers inspected, 70 ministers (90 percent) are the richest crorepatis and the minimum assets for a minister is nearly Rs.16.24 crore.
Four ministers have revealed that they have more than Rs 50 crore worth of assets. They are Jyotiraditya Scindia, Piyush Goyal, Narayan Tatu Rane and Rajeev Chandrasekhar.
