Water: 4 cups

Black tea powder: 2 tsp

Crushed ginger: ½ tsp

Lemongrass: 1 strand

Mint leaves: 4

Basil leaves(tulsi): 3

Cardamom: 3 (crushed)

Sugar: 8 tsp

How to make herbal tea:

To a pan or vessel, add water, tea powder, cardamom, ginger, mint leaves, basil leaves and sugar. Boil for 8 to 10 Minutes or until the infusion turns fragrant. Strain the tea into cups using a strainer. Serve hot.

Honey-lemon-ginger tea can also be enjoyed during summers as iced tea. It can be done by freezing the concentrate in ice cubes and serving it with chilled water. This tea is commonly used to treat cold and sinus infections as well.


Water – 3 cups

Ginger – 1 tsp (finely chopped)

Tea leaves – 1 tsp (for every cup)

Lemon juice – 1 tsp

Honey – 1 tsp

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes

How to make Honey – Lemon – Ginger tea:

In a pan heat 3 cups of water. Before it begins to boil add ginger to it. Just as it starts to boil add the tea leaves, lemon juice and honey.

Strain it into a cup and enjoy!
