Bayern Munich suffers 3rd straight loss as Bochum stuns Bundesliga champions

Bayern Munich, a top soccer team, recently lost a game against Bochum with a score of 3-2. This was their third loss in a row, which puts them eight points behind the team leading the league, Leverkusen. In this last match, one of their players, Dayot Upamecano, got kicked out of the game, just like he did in their previous game against Lazio in the Champions League. The coach, Thomas Tuchel, is feeling the pressure because his team doesn’t seem to have a strong game plan.

They also lost a big game to Leverkusen last week, and they were beaten 1-0 by Lazio. Thomas Tuchel commented on the team’s chances for the title, saying it doesn’t look likely, but reminded everyone that they kept believing last season and ended up winning in the end. He says they will keep trying.

Referring to the pressure on him following his team’s third loss, he added: “That happens after every defeat.

“The ‘how’ we played is key. The ‘how’ was good today and that’s why today’s 90 minutes are very different from the second half at Lazio or the game at Leverkusen.”

Bayern were desperate to bounce back and did get a 13th-minute lead when Jamal Musiala drilled in from a tight angle as early pressure paid off.

Harry Kane, the top scorer in the Bundesliga, had a chance to score his team’s second goal but missed an easy shot in front of the goal in the 19th minute. He shot the ball way too high over the goal post. The game had to be stopped for a bit because fans were upset about the possibility of foreign investors getting involved in the Bundesliga.

They showed their frustration by throwing tennis balls onto the field. We’ve seen more protests like this recently, as they’ve happened during almost every game over the weekend. The game paused for about 15 minutes, and this actually seemed to help Bochum. Takuma Asano quickly scored a goal to tie the game at 1-1 in the 38th minute.

Then, just before halftime, Keven Schlotterbeck scored with a header from a corner kick, putting Bochum in the lead.

Kevin Stoeger scored on a penalty kick in the 78th minute, sealing the match for Bochum after Dayot Upamecano got a second yellow card for using his elbow against an opponent. Harry Kane scored his 25th goal of the season in the 87th minute, which added some excitement towards the end, but Bochum still won.

After the game was over, there was a tense moment when Joshua Kimmich of Bayern Munich argued with assistant coach Zsolt Loew before heading to the locker room. Bayern Munich is trying to win their 12th league championship in a row, but they’re currently in second place with 50 points, which is 8 less than the team in first place, Leverkusen. Bochum is now in 11th place with 25 points.
