New Delhi: The owner of ‘Baba Ka Dhaba’ Kanta Prasad, who has got instant fame during the previous Covid wave and lockdown last year, has been admitted to the Safdarjung Hospital following an alleged suicide attempt to kill himself.
As per the Sources in Safdarjung Hospital area told IANS: “He was shifted in the ICU ward and is on ventilator support. His condition is quite critical but not too serious. He is stable.”
As per the sayings of the Delhi Police, they received a phone call late on Thursday that a man, who allegedly tried to commit suicide, has been brought to the hospital.
DCP (South zone) Atul Thakur confirmed that “the 80-year old man who was admitted to Safdarjung Hospital last night. He was brought to an unconscious state after he consumed alcohol and also sleeping pills. The statement of his son has been recorded for the same. Further investigation is underway.”

Following the incident many people around the state donated money and the couple had put up in a bigger unit.
Kanta Prasad had got to limelight after a YouTuber Gaurav Wasan had shot the video last year which was a widely shared video of Kanta Prasad and his wife on October 7 last year, which showed the couple talking about lack of customers at the eatery in Malviya Nagar.

After that the things went sour and Kanta Prasad had also lodged an FIR of dodging against Gaurav Wasan an YouTuber for allegedly stealing the money that was raised up to help him and his wife during the lockdown time.
But, now as per the people around in the know of things, Kanta Prasad had to close the restaurant which he opened in December last year after his video went viral and got fame, his roadside stall witnessed huge crowds.
Just a few days back, Kamta Prasad was again seen on a viral video withdrawing his allegations against Gaurav Wasan.
Prasad has been back to his old roadside Dhaba as the cost of running the newly established restaurant was around Rs 1 lakh, while his returns were only around Rs 30,000.
