The film had a strong first weekend, recording collections over Rs 127 crore, and began its first Monday with a collection of Rs 18.75 crore and continued the steady pace on Tuesday. A report on boxofficeindia.com states that the film earned an impressive Rs 16.25 crore.
Although the film saw a drop in collections of around 10%, reports state that the revenue in ticket sales was still ‘very good’ as the collections earned over the first weekend were in the higher range.
The total collections of the ‘Avatar’ sequel on day five, now round up to about Rs 162.50 crore nett.
However, the film has already crossed the Rs 200 crore mark in terms of gross box office collections.
The film has already established itself as a box office hit and may just be on its way to becoming a blockbuster, but it all comes down to the collections earned in its second weekend. Come Friday, the film that has been enjoying an undisputed run at the box office, will face some competition with the release of Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty‘s ‘Cirkus’.
